Brard Palissy Sardines Dish

Victorian, circa 1880. 6.6ins high, 9.5ins wide, 1.3ins depth. Brard French Palissy Majolica dish which features three sardines and two shells.

Colouration: blue, white, gold, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Brard pottery.

CONDITION: Generally good.

Small flake to each fish.

Some small flakes to the rim.

KILN EFFECTS: stilt marks to the reverse.

RESTORATION. Retouching to the three fish, which have all been almost entirely overpainted.
