
Circa 1890. 14.6ins high, 9.1ins wide, 9.1ins depth. Mafra Majolica ewer and stand which features a horse's head forming the spout and a dolphin handle.
Colouration: beige, green, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Mafra pottery.
CONDITION: Jug/pitcher: Very good. No restoration. Some small flakes to the exterior.
KILN EFFECT: small shrinkage crack to the leaf on the handle.
Cover: Generally good. RESTORATION: Filled chips to inner rim.
One ear remodelled; the other with a filled chip.
Stand: Good. No restoration. Slight wear from use.
KILN EFFECTS: overglazed shrinkage line to the interior,
slight glaze run to the interior.
