Majolica Palissy Platter with Shells, Lizards & Frog

Circa 1890. 11.4ins high, 15ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Palissy Majolica wall platter which features a variety of shells, newts and a frog.

Colouration: green, brown, grey, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Slight wear to one shell to rim.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze.

RESTORATION: retouched flakes to large shell and to the under rim.

Lizard head reglued and join retouched.
