Holdcroft Majolica Fish and Pond Lily Plate

Victorian, circa 1870. 8.7ins high, 8.7ins wide, 1ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica plate which features a fish and pond lily.

Cobalt blue ground version.

Colouration: cobalt blue, white, brown, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Holdcroft pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Small, shallow chip to under rim.

Minor wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: a few tiny glaze pops to the reverse.
