Minton Majolica Dwarf with Monkey Salt

Victorian, circa 1866. 5.3ins high, 2.6ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Minton Majolica salt which features a dwarf with monkey on his back.

Colouration: green, ochre, blue, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1227'.

Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1866.

CONDITION: Generally good.

RESTORATION. Reglued rim section to dish and joins retouched.

Figure reglued to base around ankles and join retouched.
