
Victorian, circa 1870. 11.4ins high, 5.5ins wide, 5.3ins depth. Copeland Majolica figure which features a boy wearing ice skates,
wrapped in warm clothing, carrying a basket with a hare inside.
Colouration: brown, cobalt blue, grey, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Copeland pottery.
CONDITION: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the ground.
RESTORATION. Filled and retouched top section of tree stump.
(It is highly likely that originally, this figure was the base of a comport. The tree stump at the back forming the stem.)
