Majolica Hen on Nest Tureen

Victorian, circa 1900. 7.7ins high, 9.4ins wide, 6.7ins depth. Majolica tureen with cover which features a hen on a basket.

Colouration: brown, cream, green, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '1517'.

Condition

CONDITION: Cover: Very good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the tail feathers to the reverse;

glaze run to the brown glaze;

lid does not sit perfectly on the base.

Base: Very good. No restoration. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the pink glaze.
