Minton Majolica Four Tiered Oyster Stand

Victorian, circa 1870. 10.6ins high, 11.8ins wide, 11.8ins depth. Minton Majolica oyster stand which features an overlapping fish and eel handle.

Four tiers of open oyster shells, laid on seaweed.

Colouration: green, grey, white, are predominant.

CONDITION: Good.

One very tight hairline to shell.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the shells;

glaze run to the green glaze;

RESTORATION. Filled chip to rim of one of the shells.
