
Victorian, circa 1869. 4.7ins high, 9.6ins wide, 5.3ins depth. Minton Majolica compote which features two rabbits supporting a cabbage leaf.
Colouration: turquoise, green, white, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1451'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1869.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Bruise to rim of dish.
KILN EFFECTS: a few glaze misses to the cabbage leaf.
RESTORATION. Reglued chip to rim of dish.
One end of base reglued and join retouched, through rabbit paws.
Stabilised and retouched cracks to other end, running up the leaves.
