German Majolica Figural Cockerel Bottle

Circa 1890. 13ins high, 4.3ins wide, 4.5ins depth. B & L Majolica figural bottle which features a cockerel in uniform - the brooch forms the pouring spout and the cockerels removable head forms the lid.

Colouration: pale blue, dark pink, yellow, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the B & L pottery.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Small flake to lower base edge of cockerel's head.

RESTORATION. Comb reglued and join retouched.

Filled chips to comb.
