
Victorian, circa 1874. 7.9ins high, 7.9ins wide, 1.8ins depth. George Jones Majolica oyster plate which features six scallop shaped wells, with coral and seaweed decoration and an oyster shell to the centre. Cobalt blue ground version.
Colouration: cobalt blue, brown, white, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery.
Bears a pattern number, '2401 8'. English diamond registration mark for the date 15/09/1874.
CONDITION: Good. RESTORATION. Filled chip to rim of central oyster.
