Barbizet Majolica Pike Fish Platter

Circa 1875. 12.4ins high, 17.1ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Barbizet French Palissy Majolica platter which features a pike,

a crayfish, reptiles, insects, shells and leaves.

Colouration: green, brown, cream, are predominant.

CONDITION: Generally good.

Missing legs to beetles.

Some small flakes to ground.

RESTORATION. Remodelled antennae and legs to crayfish.

Remodelled lizard's head,

snake's head

and dorsal fin to pike.

Filled chips to under rim.
