
Victorian, circa 1860. 14.8ins high, 18.9ins wide, 18.9ins depth. Minton Majolica ice stand which features a circular dish
supported by three stag heads. These are draped in garlands, around an baluster stem spreading into a base.
The base is divided into six ice wells, with six rams' heads joined by drapery swags.
Colouration: turquoise, ochre, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery.
CONDITION: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: faint, over glazed shrinkage line to the top.
RESTORATION. Upper section reattached and join retouched.
The join is inbetween the top section with swags/stags and the lower section with the wells.
Stabilised and retouched crack to the rim of the bottom section, running across one well and into the bottom section of the central column.
Stabilised and retouched hairline to the ochre rim below the swags.
