Mintons Majolica centrepiece which features two male vintagers pulling a chariot/cart with a female vintager pushing the chariot from behind.
Colouration: grey, green, blue, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Mintons pottery.
Bears a pattern number, '1272'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1874.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Some small flakes to base.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the ground;
shallow firing crack to the ground.
RESTORATION. Left boy reglued and joins retouched through ankles
and on tow-bar between the two boys.
Right boy reglued and joins retouched where feet join the base,
through left knee
and on tow-bar between the two boys.
Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim of basket.
Small filled chip above the foot on the base.
