Majolica Platter with Fern, Leaf and Flower Pattern

Victorian, circa 1870. 7.7ins high, 11.4ins wide, 2ins depth. Majolica platter which features fern leaves, flowers and twig like handles. Colouration: white, brown, pink, are predominant.

Condition

Generally good. No restoration. Tight hairline to one handle, does not go all the way through.

Tight hairline to the reverse only, not present to the front.

Small shallow chip to the rim.

Flaking to the handles.

A few small flakes to the interior.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze misses to the rim and interior;

stilt marks to the interior.
