George Jones Majolica Picket Fence Daisy Cheese Dome

Victorian, circa 1870. 11ins high, 12ins wide, 12ins depth. George Jones Majolica cheese keep which features a picket fence, daisies, corn, brambles and a twig handle.

Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: cobalt blue, green, white, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '5324'.

CONDITION: Cover: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched cracks to body.

Stand: Fair. RESTORATION. 4 parts reglued and joins retouched.

Filled chips and flake to rim.
