Minton Majolica Turquoise 6 Well Oyster Plate

Victorian, circa 1878. 9.1ins high, 9.1ins wide, 0.8ins depth. Minton Majolica plate which features six shell shaped wells with seashell surrounds.

Turquoise ground version.

Colouration: turquoise, green, cream, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1323'.

Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1878.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Tight hairline with associated flake to rim.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the interior.
