Majolica Fish Cheese Dome and Stand

Victorian, circa 1870. 7.1ins high, 10.2ins diameter. Majolica cheese keep which features a fish handle with fish and foliage decoration to the sides.

Colouration: cobalt blue, green, grey, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Dome: Good. No restoration.

Slight wear to the high points of the molding.

Some wear around the top edge.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the cobalt blue glaze.

Stand: Good. No restoration.

Two hairlines to rim.

Wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the green glaze.
