
Victorian, circa 1867. 5.9ins high, 12.2ins wide, 7.9ins depth. Minton Majolica game pie dish with liner
which features a hare, mallard and blackbird on a bed of fern and oak leaves.
Colouration: brown, green, turquoise, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery.
Bears a pattern number, '668'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1867.
CONDITION: Dish: Very good. No restoration.
Light wear to the rim;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior.
Cover: Good.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to rim.
Filled chip to tip of blackbird wing.
Retouched flake to ground.
Liner: Good. Some wear from use.
