Brown Westhead Moore & Co Butterfly Box with Cover

Victorian, circa 1860. 5.5ins high, 8.7ins wide, 8.7ins depth. Brown Westhead Moore & Co Majolica box and cover which features a butterfly, floral and fern leaf decoration on a basket weave ground.

Colouration: yellow, cobalt blue, green, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, 'M32 53'.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Cover 1: Good. RESTORATION. Butterfly wings reglued and join retouched.

Box: Good. No restoration. Small, shallow chip to one corner.

Slight wear to rim.
