George Jones Majolica Squirrel Nut Dish

Victorian, circa 1869. 5.3ins high, 13.7ins wide, 8.8ins depth. George Jones Majolica nut dish which features a squirrel holding a nut. Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '2521'. English diamond registration mark for the date 22/12/1869.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Some small flakes to high points of the molding.

Light scratches to under rim.

Slight wear to interior.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to one leaf.

RESTORATION: remodelled section to rim of small front dish.
