George III, dated 1818. 12ins by 12.5ins wide. 1818 Sampler by Frances Stanbridge. Framed in an old wood frame with gilt slip and glass.

Mounted to conservator standards on acid free card with chipboard backing.

The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in cross stitch throughout.

Meandering floral border.

Colours green, cream, blue, red, pink and brown.

Signed and dated

'Frances Stanbridge 1818'.

A good set of motifs, including potted flowering plants,

lions,

flowers,

crowns and birds.

CONDITION: Generally Good.

A number of small holes.

A few pale stains.

Stretching is slightly uneven.

Frame in good condition, ready to hang.
