Victorian, circa 1860.7.6ins high, 3.6ins wide, 2.8ins depth.

Staffordshire Pottery figure with a religious theme which features the Virgin Mary, stood on an oval base.

The piece is titled, 'VIR MARY' .

Dull gilt embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front.

Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Some small flakes to fingers

and headscarf.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage crack below left elbow

and to base edge at rear;

some glaze accumulation;

notable crazing;

tiny glaze pop to top of head.
