Pair of Staffordshire Pottery figures which feature a 'chunky' spaniel, seated directly on the ground, no base.
Russet and white version. Dull gilt embellishment.
Decorated mainly to the front. Vent holes to reverse and underside.
Right facing: Very good. No restoration. Small flake to the underside.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the reverse;
glaze accumulation also to the reverse.
Left facing: Very good. No restoration. A few minor paint losses to dog's markings.
Some rubbing to gilt.
