Victorian, circa 1860. 7.7ins high, 3.1ins wide, 2.6ins depth.

Staffordshire Pottery figure with a childhood theme which features a child with dog, stood on a circular base.

Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Open bottomed.

Condition

Generally good. Small chip to reverse lower base edge.

Small flake to dog's left ear.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray cobalt glaze to the front and reverse;

some staining to the reverse.

RESTORATION. Left hand remodelled.

Stabilised and retouched crack to reverse of boy's neck.
