Staffordshire Pottery Figure of Mary and Jesus

Victorian, circa 1860. 7.9ins high, 2.4ins wide, 2.2ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery figure with a religious theme which features Mary holding the baby Jesus, stood on a circular base. White and gilt version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.

Decorated mainly to the front.

Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

Good. Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage lines to Mary's right wrist, neck and right side.

RESTORATION: Retouched paint losses to hair.
