Small Staffordshire Prattware Horse Figure

pre-Victorian, circa 1800. 5.1ins high, 4.9ins wide, 2.2ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery Prattware bocage figure which features a horse, stood on an oval base.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Open bottomed.

Condition

Generally good. No restoration. Small nibbles to both ears,

lower base edge

and base flowers.

Chips to leaves.

Flaking to horse, base and tree.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to one leaf;

flecks of stray green glaze to horse's body.
