Staffordshire Pottery Mary and Jesus Figure

Victorian, circa 1860. 10ins high, 3.5ins wide, 3.3ins depth.

Staffordshire Pottery figure with a religious theme which features Mary holding the baby Jesus, stood on a plinth base.

White and gilt version. Dull gilt embellishment.

Decorated mainly to the front.

Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

Slight rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join, to Mary's right side.

RESTORATION. Mary's head reglued and join retouched.

Retouched paint losses to hair.

Stabilised and retouched cracks to base.
