
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 10ins high, 7.9ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire Pottery figures which feature a spaniel smoking a pipe, stood on a rococo base. Russet and white version.
Dull gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the underside.

CONDITION: Right facing: Good. Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: touch marks to the body;
shrinkage crack above tail and under chin;
very slight staining to the reverse.
More visible stained crazing behind the front leg.
RESTORATION. Remodelled pipe.
Left facing: Very good. No restoration. Some rubbing to gilt.

very slight staining to the reverse and to top of head.

a piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the front of the base.
