Staffordshire Pottery Duck Tureen and Cover

Victorian, circa 1880. 7.5ins high, 9.4ins wide, 7.1ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery tureen with cover which features a duck, seated on an oval basketweave tureen base.

Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Cover: Good. Wear to lustre glaze.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the duck's head and back.

RESTORATION. Retouching to rim in places.

Nest: Generally good. Small chip to inner rim.

RESTORATION. Retouching to inner rim and interior on the sides. No restoration on outside surfaces.
