Pair of Staffordshire Pottery figures which feature a legs-free pug, seated directly on the ground, no base.
We think they have possibly been matched up together at some stage because they both face the same direction. However, we feel they display very well together.
Bright gilt embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.

KILN EFFECTS: touch marks to the body;
shrinkage line along the mold join to the top of left front leg.
Figure 2: Generally good. No restoration. Small chips to left ear.
