Pair of Staffordshire Pottery pearlware bocage figures with a childhood theme which feature a child in front of a bocage tree, holding a basket of flowers, seated on a rectangular base.
Painted base line. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.
Maker's marks to the underside.
Right facing: Generally good. Tiny chip to headdress.
Flake to underside base edge and a few tiny flakes to bocage leaves.
A few paint loss to base line at reverse.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the base corner and left hand.
RESTORATION. A few retouched chips to bocage, which is mostly in good original condition.
Retouched chip to base front.
Girls head and bocage trunk reglued and joins retouched.
Left facing: Good. No restoration. Flakes to underside base edge and a few small flakes to bocage leaves.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze;touch mark to chest;
a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze.
