Pair of Staffordshire Pottery groups with a royalty theme which feature Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on thrones, with a child stood at their side, seated on a shaped base.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside. Maker's marks painted to the underside.
Female: Generally good. Flake to lower base edge at side.
A few paint losses to clothing.
Some rubbing to gilt.
Slight wear to reverse of throne.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed chip to base front;
shrinkage crack to fur on throne;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the front;
glaze run to the cobalt glaze.
RESTORATION. Three hands are remodelled.
Retouched paint losses to both their hair.
Male: Generally good. Tiny flake to Albert's chin.
Rubbing to gilt.
Slight wear to reverse.

over glazed chip to fur on throne.
