giving her milk to her father Cimon, seated on a shaped base.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent holes are present.
This piece represents the 'Roman Charity' story of a woman Pero, who secretly breastfeeds her father Cimon,
who is incarcerated and sentenced to death by starvation.

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.
Small chip to Pero's sandal, not noticeable when the piece is upright.
Some small flakes to Pero, child, baby, Cimon and ground.
A few paint losses to ground and chain.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage line to the Cimon's foot;
glaze pops to the ground;
touch marks to Cimon and on the reverse;
over glazed bruise to the chain.
