
Victorian, circa 1890. 9.3ins high, 9.3ins wide, 3ins depth. Jose A Cunha Majolica wall plate which features a snake being attacked by a lizard in a burrow, another lizard, frog, moths and grubs.
Scalloped rim.
Colouration: green, grey, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Jose A Cunha pottery.
CONDITION: Generally good.
Some small flakes to ground,
snake and lizard's head.
RESTORATION. Remodelled small lizard's head.
Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.
Filled chip to foot rim.
Retouched flakes and chips to ground.
