Sarreguemines Majolica Strawberry Platter

Victorian, circa 1880. 9.8ins high, 12.4ins wide, 1.8ins depth. Sarreguemines Majolica platter which features strawberries, leaves and blossoms.

Colouration: turquoise, green, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Sarreguemines pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Very good. No restoration.

Wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: minor glaze runs to the green, brown and ochre glazes.
