
Victorian, circa 1874. 9.1ins high, 9.1ins wide, 0.6ins depth. Minton Majolica oyster plate which features six shell shaped wells with seashell surrounds.
Turquoise ground version.
Colouration: turquoise, cream, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery.
Bears a pattern number, '1323'. English diamond registration mark for the date 20/03/1867.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1874.
CONDITION: Very good. No restoration.
Two small flakes to wells.
Very slight wear to the high points of the molding.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze miss to the rim of one shell.
