Choisy le Roi Majolica Dragonfly Pot & Cover

Victorian, circa 1880. 5.1ins high, 7.7ins wide, 4.6ins depth. Choisy Majolica pot and cover which features a dragonfly resting on top of a shell.

Colouration: brown, green, blue, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Choisy pottery.

CONDITION: Cover: Generally good.

Some small flakes to the leaves,

dragonfly's head

and smaller dragonfly legs,

body and wings.

RESTORATION. Remodelled end of dragonfly's body.

Retouched flake to wing.

Dish: Good. No restoration.

Small flake to rim.

Slight wear to rim.
