
Victorian, circa 1870. 6.3ins high, 4.9ins wide, 4.1ins depth. George Jones Majolica jug/pitcher which features green leaves, bulrushes/cattails and water lilies.
Brown ground version. Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.
Bears a pattern number, '1804'.
CONDITION: Good.
Small flake to foot rim and one lily flower.
Very slight wear to rim,
handle
and exterior.
KILN EFFECTS: two small firing pits to interior;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the handle.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to foot rim.
