Minton Majolica Turquoise 6 well Oyster Plate

Victorian, circa 1868. 9.1ins high, 9.1ins wide, 0.9ins depth. Minton Majolica oyster plate which features six shell shaped wells with seashell surrounds.

Turquoise ground version.

Colouration: turquoise, green, cream, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. English diamond registration mark for the date 26/01/1867.

Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1868.

 

Condition

CONDITION: Very good. No restoration.

Almost nil wear to the high points of the molding.
