Minton Majolica Cat with Mouse Jug/Pitcher

Victorian, circa 1875. 9.8ins high, 8.7ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features a cat with yellow eyes.

Turquoise interior.

A mouse is trapped under the cat's paw. Green ground version.

Colouration: green, turquoise, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1924'.

English diamond registration mark for the date 10/??/??. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1875.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

RESTORATION. Handle reglued and joins retouched in 3 places.

Filled chips around the rim.
