Minton Majolica Lily Pad Teacup & Saucer

Victorian, circa 1872. 2.4ins high, 5.5ins wide, 5.5ins depth. Minton Majolica cup & saucer which features lily pads.

Yellow ground version. Colouration: yellow, green, turquoise, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery.

English diamond registration mark for the date 05/04/1872.

Condition

CONDITION: Cup: Good. No restoration.

KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing and craze lines to interior;

four tight shrinkage hairlines to rim exterior (not present on interior).

Saucer: Very good. No restoration.

Almost nil wear.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze pop to interior;

glaze run to the under rim.
