
Circa 1900. 7.1ins high, 14.6ins wide, 7.5ins depth. Delphin Massier Majolica posy holder which features a recumbent camel
wearing a saddle with pannier baskets either side.
Colouration: brown, ochre, cream, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Delphin Massier pottery.
CONDITION: Good. No restoration.
Some minor flakes to ears,
nostril,
halter,
baskets,
rope,
tail
and hind legs.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage lines to the interior of baskets;
a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze;
piece of kiln detritus caught inside causing piece to rattle.
