George Jones Majolica Wheat Jug/Pitcher

Victorian, circa 1870. 7.1ins high, 6.3ins wide, 5.1ins depth. George Jones Majolica jug/pitcher which features wheat ears and leaves around the sides.

Turquoise ground version.

Colouration: green, turquoise, ochre, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '1806'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Flaking to handle.

Some wear to exterior.

KILN EFFECTS: small firing hole next to handle;

small firing pits and touch marks to exterior.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack and hairline to rim.

Filled chip to rim.
