Choisy Majolica card tray which features a seated putto holding a shallow bowl.
The artists signature 'A. CARRIER BELLEUSE' is inscribed to the reverse.
Colouration: cream, brown, pink, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Choisy pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3022'.
Good. KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the putto;
a speck of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the bowl interior.
RESTORATION. Three small hairlines stabilised and retouched to rim of bowl.
Filled chips to toes on putto's left foot and chip to hair near forehead.
