Minton Majolica Hen Vase by John Henk

Victorian, circa 1875. 12.6ins high, 11.4ins wide, 7.3ins depth. Minton Majolica vase which features a hen stood next to a wooden slated vase.

Signature, 'J Henk' to the base.

Colouration: brown, cream, grey, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1982'.

Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1875.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

Some small flakes to basket

and comb.

RESTORATION. Small filled chip to tip of beak

and top of comb.

Remodelled spur to right foot.

Stabilised and retouched crack to right leg.

Minor retouched flakes and chips to leaves

and base edge.
