Victorian, circa 1857. 6.7ins high, 13.4ins wide, 8.3ins depth.

Minton Majolica game pie dish which features a hare, mallard and blackbird on a bed of fern and oak leaves.

Colouration: brown, green, turquoise, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '10'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1857.

Condition

Dish: Good. No restoration. Small chip to underside edge.

Some small flakes to exterior, rim and one handle.

Very slight wear to interior.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage lines around the rim;

uneven glaze application to interior;

glaze run to the green and brown glazes.

Cover: Very good. No restoration. Small flake to rim, hare's paw and mallard's wing.

KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line to hare's ear;

uneven glaze application to the underside.
