Minton Majolica vase which features a putto holding a large sheaf of corn.
The putto holds a scythe in one hand. An overturned basket of grapes lies on the ground.
Colouration: white, ochre, cream, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1198'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1872.
Good. Slight wear to the reverse.
KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to the base edge.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.
Filled chips to left foot.
