Choisy Majolica stick/umbrella stand or vase which features a rooster/cockerel standing next to some wheat.
Colouration: brown, green, grey, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Choisy pottery. As well as the artists stamp, 'P. COMOLERA'.
Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln grit caught in the glaze to the ground.
RESTORATION. Some tail feathers and section to spill rim reglued and joins retouched. Some tail feathers remodelled.
Filled chips to spurs on left foot,
corn on rim, petals and one corn ear to exterior.
