George Jones Majolica fish lily & buttercup stick stand

Victorian, circa 1870. 21.5ins high, 9.4ins wide, 9.4ins depth.

George Jones & Sons Majolica stick or umbrella stand which features fish, water lilies and marsh marigolds.

Turquoise ground version. Colouration: turquoise, pink, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones & Sons pottery. Bears a pattern number, '5272'.

Condition

Good. Two small flakes to exterior.

KILN EFFECTS: uneven glaze application to the turquoise glaze;

glaze pops to the lower ochre band.

RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.
